Today is a very special day for aviation as it marks the anniversary of the Wright Brother's first flight. On a cold December day in 1903, the two brothers and a small team of assistants managed to get a heavier-than-air powered aircraft into the air under controlled flight. It is all too easy to forget in our modern-day life, as many of us hop on and off huge gleaming airliners with their comfy seats and range of passenger amenities, that flying in powered aircraft began with just two brothers and a dream - experimenting with their vision, one day on a lonely, cold, and windswept beach in North Carolina. Happy Wright Brothers day! ✈️
