Awesome 70th birthday present for a Reno area local! Nathan's wife surprised him with the gift of flight for his big 7-0 and he was able to share it with his son and daughter, and an instructor, of course 😉Great day for a Tahoe scenic discovery flight!

Great Basin Aviation is happy to announce that Lyndon Weaver passed his FAA Instrument Check Ride today! Congratulations to Lyn on achieving this milestone in aviation. He is super motivated and already has his commercial path planned out. "High achievement always takes place in a framework of high expectation."   Shane became a pilot in 1969 and a CFI in 2006. Shane is focused solely on primary training. He enjoys introducing someone to aviation and developing habits that will build a solid foundation for safe flying. Shane also holds a glider rating and experience as a glider tow pilot. When not instructing he enjoys flying his Cessna 172XP to back country strips in Idaho and Utah and to the many small airports in Nevada, Oregon and Montana.
