Sunday Solo!

Congratulations to Caitlin Burke who soloed today!! She flew her most memorable flight at KRTS on runway 08. Caitlin has been working with Stephen Weaver and Matt Stubblefield. Caitlin is a full-time engineer and can only fly on the weekends. She is so determined and works hard! The perfect example of the harder you work for something the greater you will feel when you achieve it! Caitlin truly worked hard for this! We are so happy for you Caitlin!!

Discovery Flights

Great day for Discovery Flights! Two new future pilots got hooked on aviation! Matt flew with CFI Paul Jolley and Kailey flew with CFI Matt Stubblefield. Both new students came back in love with flight and wanting more! Money doesn't buy happiness but it buys flight lessons and that's sort of the same thing :)

Weekend Solos!

What an incredible weekend at Great Basin Aviation...three soloed students!! Josh Bunker soloed on Saturday in N10446 at KRNO 16L. Kevin Jones soloed Sunday in N37JA at KRTS 14. And to wrap it up, Kevin Marshall soloed Sunday in N752DW at KCXP 27. Congratulations to these guys!! All three of these student pilots are well on their way to earning their PPL and continuing with their goals of careers in aviation. Great job for digging in and reaching this memorable milestone!
