What does UNR, a tub of mayonnaise, and N2291C all have in common? Jack Darlington! Why you may ask….well, first, Jack is a former UNR wide receiver and alumni (Go Pack!). Second, he is a regional manager for a major food distributor (ask him about buying mayo and ranch at quantity). And third, he flew N2291C this afternoon and is now a commercial pilot!! That’s right, Jack earned his Commercial Pilot Certificate today as he battled some pretty crazy crosswinds. He maneuvered the aircraft successfully and safely through his commercial procedures, nailing his power-off 180 then made his way back into KRNO and got that confirmation fist bump (no handshakes with COVID)! Jack was immediately hounded by GBA staff to start working on his CFI. However, we will first let him have a night to celebrate. Huge congratulations to Jack and his instructor Tristan on this awesome accomplishment!! Now start working on your FOI :)
