    A new licensed pilot in the Nevada sky!

    A huge congratulations to Anthony Winder who earned his Private Pilot Certificate today in N670CS!! Anthony is a busy guy as a C-130 Crew Chief with the Nevada Air National Guard. Despite his important duties, he was also able to focus on his license and passed his checkride today at just 44 hours!! An amazing accomplishment for him and his instructor Danny Britson. We are excited to get you started on your instrument rating! "Opportunity does not knock, it presents itself when you beat the door down."

    Friday Solo!!

    Congratulations to Chris Olivero who soloed today at KRTS, runway 08, in N670CS!! Chris has been going to school and working full time all while juggling flight lessons and ground school. Today he realized how hard work and persistence pays off. His instructor, Matt Stubblefield watched on as Chris completed pattern work on a busy flying day. Congratulations again to Chris and his instructor Matt!! Let the celebration begin!

    Wednesday Solo!!

    Congratulations to Drew Wallace who soloed today at KRTS on Runway 26 in N752DW!! Drew is a definitely determined. He is an expert brewmaster in Mammoth and drives up to Reno a few times a month to work on his PPL. Today he realized how awesome it is to be the only guy in the cockpit as he dropped his instructor Emmett Castellan off and took several laps in the pattern. Such an awesome achievement for Drew and Emmett!! "There is no magic in achievement. It is really about hard work, choices, and persistence.” We can’t wait to celebrate with you as you earn your PPL! ​

    Sunday Solos at Stead!

    The 17 year old pilots are on fire today!! It was a busy day at Stead, but two young GBA students soloed! Reese Davis soloed at KRTS, runway 8, in N752DW while his proud Dad and instructor, Danny Britson, looked on. Reese started flying when he was 16 and has been on fire. Then, Tate Neubecker, re-soloed on the same runway in N2291C. CFIs Matt Stubblefield and Nik Joshi watched from the sidelines as Tate flew his laps in the Stead pattern. Tate soloed at 16 but took a break from flying and is now back and crushing it. Both these guys well on their way to their checkride.

    Congratulations to both these young men! Their motivation is so inspiring. Keep up the awesome work guys!

    Another Private Pilot!!

    Congratulations Ethan!! Ethan Chinowsky arrived with a private pilot certificate from New Zealand. He studied the U.S regulations and is now a U.S. certificated private pilot. Also a shout out to Matt his instructor, great work guys!
