    Picture
Shane became a pilot in 1969 and a CFI in 2006. Shane is focused solely on primary training.  He enjoys introducing someone to aviation and developing habits that will build a solid foundation for safe flying. Shane also holds a glider rating and experience as a glider tow pilot. When not instructing he enjoys flying his Cessna 172XP to back country strips in Idaho and Utah and to the many small airports in Nevada, Oregon and Montana.

    Wings, Wheels, and Wine!

On Thursday, November 15th, we will be hosting an open house as part of the Chamber's Wings, Wheels, and Wine event. We want to extend an invitation to all of you and encourage you to come out and chat with instructors, meet other students/renters, and check out all the aircraft. There will also be vehicles on display from Reno Cadillac, a table for Angel Flight, and a few other local businesses. The time for the event is 5:00PM-6:30PM and it will be held in the Atlantic Aviation lobby and immediately outside on the apron.
The Chamber does charge for the event, however, if you get stopped, mention you are with GBA and you will be free to go. Appetizers and wine will be served. We hope to see you there!

    Carson City Discovery Flight

Beautiful day for a Discovery Flight in Carson City! Eugene recently tasted flight by jumping out of an airplane at 18,000 feet with his wife for their 18th anniversary. Now, the sky keeps calling, so he took off in N37JA this morning with Lee and loved it! He plans to pursue his PPL for the joy of flying and also to honor his father-in-law who always wanted to be a pilot. We look forward to flying with you Eugene!
