    New year Solo!!

Check out this adorable smile!! What would make Jackson Perry, graduated Dartmouth Defensive Lineman, smile this big? It wasn’t taking down the opposing offense…it was his first solo!! That’s right, Jackson soloed today in N670CS, KRNO, on runway 16L. He dropped his instructor Tristan Armstrong off on the Atlantic ramp, taxied back, and took off. Jackson cruised through a few laps in the pattern, had smooth landings and great radio calls. This most memorable flight allowed him to log his first PIC time; a column which is empty no more. Jackson has been going non-stop the past couple weeks, flying everyday, weather permitting. That focus and hard work paid off. Congratulations Jackson!! We are so excited to see what the next few weeks brings. Great job to Tristan as well.

    Go explore!!

It is true that “a mile of highway will take you a mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere!” Pilot Cody and his always-up-for-an-adventure navigator Sandra, flew to Half Moon Bay yesterday by way of the popular Bay tour! We are lucky that we are close to so many cool places to fly. Cody takes full advantage of his "wings" and has marked the Grand Canyon, Bay tour, and some other cool places off his list all while logging time toward his advanced ratings in the trusty 172. Use your wings for what you got them for! Get out there and explore

    Christmas Eve Solo!

The last aviation Christmas wish was granted this afternoon when Jospeh Stearns soloed!! Joseph had the rare opportunity to solo on not just 16L but also 16R at KRNO in N328ME. He glided the plane onto the runway, touched down, and started up again to log his first several laps of PIC time. Joseph has been doing an incredible job in his training, coming in when he can get a break in the other things in life that keep us out of the cockpit. Today, that time management paid off. Awesome job Joseph!! Enjoy the gift of solo flight! Congratulations as well to his instructors Brenden and Austin!
