    Kyle Brazil is Instrument Rated!!

Two, count em’, two instrument checkrides are in the books today! And what better way to end the day with the man himself, Kyle Brazil! That’s right, Kyle took to the heat, briefed his plates, and crushed his instrument checkride with the utmost amount of precision, calm, and talent. Kyle is… well, interesting to say the least. When learning more about Kyle, we’ve found that he never wears matching socks, he is very good at annoying his wife, and his favorite feature about himself are his ears… not a whole lot to work with there, Kyle, but all are very interesting tid bits nonetheless… While we like to poke fun at Kyle, it’s truly no surprise that he has made it this far in his training. When Kyle isn’t sharing very interesting facts about himself, safety piloting, and living under the foggles, you can find him spending time with his beautiful family, prepping for baby number two due in October, and protecting the area as a local firefighter. We are so incredibly proud of you Kyle! Huge congratulations to Kyle and his CFII, Ryan Mill, who has had to endure Kyle’s antics both in and out of the plane. Awesome work, Kyle! Now onto commercial 😉.

    Kurt Finney is Instrument Rated!!

What a beautiful day, and even better, what a beautiful day to get your instrument rating! That’s right everyone, that cheesin’ smile says it all, Kurt Finney navigated his way successfully through his instrument checkride and passed with flying colors! Kurt has been a madman of safety piloting, study grouping, and simm-ing these last couple of months. From working his full-time job and then committing his evenings and mornings to flying and studying, it’s truly no surprise that he was able to crush this milestone. When Kurt isn’t arriving 30 minutes early for his lessons, asking questions in the study group, or explaining the inner workings of the redbird, he’s spending time at the gym, cooking some fine cuisine, traveling to his heart’s content, and chilling out on the water. Kurt, you’ve officially done it! You’re a fully-fledged instrument pilot! Let’s give Kurt and his CFII, Andrew Spanier, who has been along for this ride from the very beginning, a huge round of applause on the incredible achievement! Kurt will be moving towards his commercial rating next and enjoying the view outside the window while doing so 😉. Great work, Kurt!

Cameron Morrill is a Private Pilot!

You know it’s about to get interesting when Cam starts off a sentence with, “Hey Jenn, I have a question for you…” and as the picture suggests, we couldn’t think of a more fitting a way for Cameron Morrill to celebrate the success of earning his Private Pilot License! That’s right everyone, Cam had a bottle champagne primed and ready to go for this all-time celebration, and it truly did not disappoint. Mason Maltese is a Private Pilot!!

No, he’s not a fluffy white dog named Mason—but with a name like Mason Maltese, how could we not mention it? Quiet, loyal, and always showing up with a determined spirit, Mason brings all the best qualities of “puppy energy” to the skies (minus the shedding). A Vegas native turned Reno aviator, Mason came up from Vegas to attend the University of Nevada, Reno for school and has been steadily working toward his private pilot license at the same time. Mason’s the kind of student who flies under the radar. He’s incredibly calm, focused, and humble, but I mean it when I tell you there’s been no missing the incredible progress he’s made to get to this milestone. From ground lessons to cross-countries, he’s put in the time, effort, and heart to earn these newfound wings. To celebrate, he’s headed back home to Las Vegas for a well-deserved summer break, and what better way to go home than with a private pilot license in hand! Let’s give Mason and his flight instructor, James Morgan, a huge round of applause for achieving this incredible accomplishment! Awesome work to the both of you!

Joe Arango is a Commercial Pilot!!

When Joe Arango isn’t logging hours out on the Atlantic Aviation ramp, he’s either in the cockpit or buried in a ground school manual. And now all that throttle-forward effort has paid off, Joe just earned his commercial pilot certificate and is officially cleared for takeoff… for hire! Balancing full-time ramp duty with intense flight training isn’t for the faint of heart (or the low on fuel), but Joe kept his heading steady. His determination, consistency, and ability to stay cool under pressure helped him land this major milestone. With his commercial cert in hand, he’s now ready to continue building time and charting a course toward even higher altitudes in his aviation career. Of course, even the best captains need a solid crew. A huge shoutout to his instructors, Lucas Murphy and Joey Read, for keeping him trimmed out, on course, and ready for every maneuver. Congrats, Joe! You’ve got the attitude, altitude, and ambition, now go chase those skies like they owe you airspeed.
