    Tailwheel Times Two!

Whoa! What?? Two tail wheel endorsements in one day? It has been a busy day for Citabria N16RG. Ethan Vincent and our very own Jennifer Fonda decided to see what it was like to fly a conventional wheeled aircraft and accepted the challenge. Tailwheel? Why not?!? Great work to both of you and to your instructor, Bob Bennett, for letting go of the controls. That's how it's done!

    Rotorcraft Transition

Huge congratulations to Dan Waters for earning his private pilot certificate today!! It was an early morning for Dan as he flew to Silver Springs when the sun was just making its appearance. All worth it in the end though because he is now licensed to fly! Dan is no stranger to aviation…he is an A&P, Chinook maintenance test pilot, and Blackhawk instructor pilot. Dan realized that there is more to aviation than hovering and started a few months ago on his fixed wing transition. So yes ladies and gentleman, even Army helicopter pilots can be taught to fly general aviation airplanes. His instructor Josh Bunker is proof of that too :) Awesome job to both Dan and Josh!

    Tailwheel Endorsed!!

Who needs a nose wheel? Not Jack Darlington because he is now tailwheel endorsed!! Jack just earned his Commercial Certificate a couple weeks ago but did not stop there. He was right back to it checking another box off his list and having some Citabria fun in the process. Congratulations to Jack and his instructor Tristan! I predict another post about a Jack accomplishment coming pretty soon...

    Play That Fiddle, Cody Lucero!

Okay, not that kind of instrument but Cody is now an instrument rated pilot! Today the guy you see working on the ramp and in the office can also fly in the clouds! Cody got a taste of aviation last May when he took his Discovery Flight. After he got hooked, he trained and got his PPL in August. Now, the Instrument ticket! To ice this tasty cake what came next? A phone call to his mother to let her know the good news. What can you say, this aviator knows his priorities. Congratulations, Cody! We are proud of you, your determination, your aviator spirit, and your accomplishment!

    She said yes!

There are hearts breaking wide open all over the world tonight. Why? Because, CFI Nik Joshi is off the market. He is 100% prime-time engaged! Congratulations to Nik and his fiancé on their recent engagement that took place over gorgeous Lake Tahoe. Even though it did involve an air sickness bag (long story but no puking). Guys...your girlfriends are going to start thinking a flight over Tahoe is a proposal. Maybe start heading to Lovelock and mix it upon a bit Congratulations to Nik!! We are so happy for you two.
