    Congratulations to Kolby Best who passed his CFII checkride today!! Kolby has been coming into town from Sacramento for his training with his instructors Matt Stubblefield and Brenden Georg. Kolby has such a commitment to safety and flying. We look forward to a lot of great things from this aviation professional! ​

    GBA's newest CFI!!!

    Congratulations to Josh Bunker who is GBA’s newest CFI!! Josh passed his test today in N37JA. A Chinook instructor, and instrument flight examiner with the Nevada National Guard, Josh started with us in February and worked his way though his fixed-wing add-ons: Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and now CFI. Josh’s schedule will soon be loaded in Flight Schedule Pro. Josh brings experience in the transition from rotorcraft to fixed wing. Congratulations as well to his instructors, Mark Montague, Stephen Weaver, and Kyle Hauss. We are so excited for him and where his success and determination is taking him!!  “Today was a good day.” ​

    New Private Pilot!

    Congratulations to Robert Dodge who is the newest licensed pilot in Northern Nevada!! Robert forward slipped into 16L to complete his checkride in N2291C. His checkride was definitely exciting. Ran into a tire issue at Stead and had to delay for a bit, but once it was changed, he came back and crushed it. Congratulations to his instructors as well. Robert flew with Emmett Castellan and Kyle Hauss. Robert’s goal is to fly medical transport. He is on his way! One step down but goals are set and he will continue to work until they are met. Great job Robert!! We look forward to continuing to fly with you! ​

    New Private Pilot!!

    Congratulations to Averiekate Sakelarios who passed her Private Pilot Checkride today!! Averiekate has been working tirelessly, overcoming several obstacles, but continuing to persevere. She is on fire!! Congrats as well to her instructor Stephen Weaver. This is Averiekate’s reward for all the hard work she put in.     AV-110 Now Enrolling!

    If you or someone you know is looking for a Private Pilot ground school option, TMCC’s Private Pilot Ground School Course (AV-110) will start with the new semester on January 28th, 2020. This class will be held every Tuesday and Thursday night from 1/28 to 5/14 at 5:30pm-7:50pm at the Edison Way campus. Enrollment is all done through TMCC at https://www.tmcc.edu. The course closely follows Jeppesen curriculum. On successful completion of the course, students will receive the required endorsement needed to take their FAA Private Pilot written exam.
