    Aircraft Upgrades

    N10446 has new windows!! Gone is the 1974 sun damaged windscreen. All new windows give this incredible aircraft the look of a new airplane. N10446 is available for rental out of KCXP. Let us know if you do not have access to the Carson schedule but would like it. Also, N2291C and N328ME have received their ADSB upgrades. N328ME received a GNX 375, which N37JA will also get in the next few weeks. Thank you for flying with us! We hope you enjoy these updates/upgrades to the GBA fleet.

    Congratulations to Ethan Chinowsky who earned his Instrument Rating today!! Ethan originally earned his pilot’s license in New Zealand several years ago. He moved to the United States and started flying with us and decided he wanted to pursue advanced ratings. So, he earned his US Private Pilot in August, and now today, his Instrument!  All while being a full time UNR Mechanical Engineering student, active athletic life, and working as supervisor at the UNR Starbucks. Now on to your Commercial and CFI!! Congratulations as well to his instructors Dane Meyerhoff and Matt Stubblefield! The harder you work for something the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it!

    Discovery Flight Fun!

    Josue and Daniela had an amazing morning taking a discovery fight over Tahoe with Instructor Mark Montague. This was the first time the two young, future aviators took to the sky in a small aircraft. Their family watched as they took off and landed and got out of the plane full of smiles. Every expert was once a beginner. Today, these two started the journey

    Private Pilot Friday!

    Congratulations to Robert McDougal on earning his private pilot certificate today!! This just adds to another one of his many accomplishments. In addition to being a rancher, accomplished architect, and County Commissioner, he can now add licensed pilot to the list. Robert has worked incredibly hard for this and today his late nights studying and constant flying paid off. This make two pilots now in Robert’s household. We are so excited for all the adventures ahead of you guys! A huge congratulations to his instructor Emmett Castellan as well! “The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.” ​

    A New CFII!!!

    Congratulations to "Captain" Matt Owens who earned his CFII today!! Matt completed his CFI recently and quickly moved on to focusing on his CFII. Today that hard work paid off as he was handed his temporary CFII Certificate!! Matt knows how to market himself and before he earned this rating, he was already offered a great position at a flight school in Arizona. Matt is packing up his family and moving south. We are so excited for your accomplishment and wish you the best in Arizona! A huge congratulations as well to his instructor Brenden Georg. Great job guys!!
