    Checkrides!

Congratulations to Angel Munoz and Shawn Linch who both passed their checkrides this week!
Angel did most of his training in Santa Rosa, but finished up here with help from instructors Emmett Castellan and Matt Bowers. He passed his CFI checkride on Wednesday. Shawn trained with Bob Bennett and passed his Commercial checkride yesterday. Both these guys worked hard for their accomplishments and we are so excited for them and their progress!

    Young Aviators

A few young aviation enthusiasts stopped by today with their grandparents and got to see some airplanes take off and land as they were looking at a GBA plane. The kids all want to be pilots when they grow up and one even wants to take it a step further and be an astronaut. " Dream big little ones. The sky is not your limit."

    Future Navy Pilot!

We are so excited for Connor Mannix and his next adventure! Today he flew his last flight as a civilian pilot here at Great Basin Aviation. He is heading off to Navy OCS on March 24th. It was so special to see him share this memory with his Mom as they got to enjoy a smooth Tahoe scenic flight. Now on to the next incredible step in his military and aviation career! Thank you for being a mentor and inspiration to many pilots here at Great Basin Aviation. "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." - John Quincy Adams

    Discovery Flight

14 year-old Jazmyn took her Discovery Flight with Danny today! She was all smiles when she got back and is definitely hooked! Her proud Dad was able to tag-a-long in the back seat and watch and listen as his daughter flew them around Reno. A great first lesson! Every expert was once a beginner.
